05.08.2019City of Nur-Sultan. August 5, 2019. Employees of the National Gas Operator KazTransGas JSC has taken part in the nationwide environmental campaign #Birge #TazaQazaqstan.
More than 200 employees of the main gas company and members of the Youth Council of KazTransGas Group of Companies in the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty, has participated in an environmental cleanup.
It should be reminded that the eco-challenge #Birge #TazaQazaqstan initiated by the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan is gaining more popularity in Kazakhstan. This campaign is focused to draw the attention of all Kazakhstan residents to the problems of ecology and the preservation of natural resources of the country.
In Nur-Sultan, young gas workers, along with residents of the capital, volunteers, public figures and environmental activists, have cleaned up the shores of Maybalik Lake. For several hours, volunteers have collected more than 9 tons of garbage. In Almaty, the participants have cleaned up the site along the Bolshaya Almatinka River between Tole bi Street to Raiymbek Avenue.
As stated by Sandybai Madi, a member of the Youth Council of KazTransGas Group of Companies, the youth working in the company were very enthusiastic about conducting such environmental campaign.
“This is a remarkable challenge, so we immediately supported the idea of participating in an environmental cleanup. It is our duty to protect the nature, to maintain the environment in the main city of Kazakhstan. Look how much garbage we have removed today. Moreover, it mainly consists of plastic bottles and bags. In fact, they can lie here for centuries. I think that in the near future, Kazakhstan needs to totally reject using plastic in everyday life, because it has already become a world practice. The change to the use of environmental materials will be a big step in protecting the nature of the country,” noted Sandybai Madi.
