Young gas specialists were initiated into the profession

On the eve of the professional holiday of the Day of Employees of the Oil and Gas complex, KazTransGas JSC held a traditional event – initiation into gas workers profession.

Young employees, former students, were preparing for the solemn ceremony almost all over Kazakhstan, because branches and subsidiaries of KazTransGas JSC operate in 12 regions of the country. By the holiday date, the total number of young specialists hired was 145 people. They are technicians and mechanics, engineers of the sales service and gas supply, emergency service dispatchers and operators of gas distribution stations.

According to a young specialist Alken Kuanysh, who works as a repairman of the 3rd category in Amangeldi Gas LLP, his childhood dream came true. “I’ve always wanted to work in real production. During his school years, he liked to study in the labor office, studied how various machines work. I have read a lot of technical literature. Now I have become a gas worker, although it seemed unreal. Our shift camp is located among the steppes, far from populated areas. But life is always “boiling” there, real professionals are working, who, I hope, will help me to become a highly qualified specialist in demand in the future, ” says Alken Kuanysh.

16 young specialists joined the ranks of gas workers in Nur-Sultan. For the capital’s branch, which opened recently, as part of the gasification of the city of Nur-Sultan, this was a real event.

According to the head of the control and measuring devices and automation service of the repair and maintenance section of the Nur-Sultan branch, Dastan Baitursyn, now gas workers have a very responsible period. “We are preparing all gas supply systems in Nur-Sultan for the heating season and continue to connect new consumers. Last season, residents of the capital’s residential areas “Zheleznodorozhny”, “Koktal-2”, as well as parts of the “Agrogorodok” received the opportunity to connect to gas. Now, by order of KazTransGas Aimak JSC, the laying of networks of the 2nd stage in the residential areas “International”, “Michurino” and “Kuygenzhar” is underway,” Dastan Baitursyn said.

The group of companies of the national gas operator pays special attention to young personnel. Various options and forms of training are offered annually for professional development. Competitions of professional skills, competitions in sports and amateur performances are organized on an ongoing basis. The Youth Council is active in all regions. After all, the effectiveness of the work of newly arrived employees, becoming in the profession at the first stages, largely depends on the attitude of already established professionals to them, their willingness to become mentors, support, share skills and experience gained over the years.

According to the head of the Youth Council of Gas Workers Madi Sandybay, it is a great responsibility to be a gas industry specialist. “Working in the oil and gas complex imposes increased requirements on a person, especially a specialist. High professionalism and technical skills are required. It depends on our work whether there will be warmth and comfort in the homes of Kazakhstani people, the activities of many enterprises and industries. In addition, now the gas industry is actively digitizing, innovative technologies are being introduced. Therefore, an influx of new ambitious specialists who are versed in the most modern technologies is necessary,” says Madi Sandybay.

In general, KazTransGas operates the largest network of main gas pipelines in Kazakhstan with a total length of more than 20 thousand km and gas distribution networks with a length of more than 56 thousand km. All this huge farm works around the clock, in heat and cold, in difficult conditions of the pandemic, smoothly and, most importantly, safely!

Therefore, the hard work of gas and oil workers has always been well-deserved respect. On the eve of the Day of Employees of the Oil and Gas Complex of Kazakhstan, more than 708 employees of the National Operator Group of companies received departmental awards, medals and certificates of honor from the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC NWF “Samruk-Kazyna”, JSC “KazTransGas” and the KAZENERGY Association. By tradition, most of the awardees are employees of production branches.

Also, on the eve of the professional holiday, more than 120 awards were received by honored workers, veterans, whose work has become the foundation of today’s achievements of the country’s gas industry.
